New Year’s Eve is going to bring Epiphany technically one week early for us, to give us one more good Epiphany hymn without making another Bonus Edition. The public domain hymns in the “New Year” section aren’t that good, either.
LSB 395, “O Morning Star, How Fair and Bright,” has text and setting under copyright, so we are going with Hymn 343 from The Lutheran Hymnal, “How Lovely Shines the Morning Star.” Kantor Beethe has once again made available a PDF with words and melody.
